Indore (Madhya Pradesh): City’s cricket sensation and RCB captain Rajat Patidar visited the historic Ranjit Hanuman Temple on Tuesday morning to seek blessings after his recent IPL triumph. Patidar, accompanied by his wife and a few close associates, performed a full ritualistic puja and also offered a ceremonial dhwaja (flag) to the deity.
Temple priest Pandit Sanjay Vyas conducted the rituals and said Patidar’s visit was a spiritual one, not intended for publicity. “He came quietly, offered prayers and spent about 20 to 25 minutes at the temple. We performed the puja with full Vedic rituals and blessed him for future success,” Vyas said.
The priest added that Patidar refrained from detailed conversations but appeared devoted and grateful. “He simply wanted to seek Ranjit Baba’s blessings. We prayed that he continues to bring glory to Indore and Indian cricket,” Vyas added.
Patidar’s visit drew attention from devotees present, with many capturing photos on their phones. His humble appearance and quiet devotion made a lasting impression.
Recently, Patidar led Royal Challengers Bangalore to their first-ever IPL trophy, breaking a 17-year drought. Many now consider him the team’s lucky charm and his visit to the temple is seen as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude and faith.
