Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): Two girls drowned in a deep pit of a river in Mata Sula Bhuria village under the Para outpost of Madhya Pradesh's Jhabua district on Thursday.
Upon receiving the information, the SDRF team launched a rescue operation, recovered the bodies of both girls, and handed them over to the police. The deceased were identified as Sushila (12) and Bhumika (10).

Panchayat Secretaries Suspended Over Incomplete Road Projects
Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sailana Janpad Panchayat suspended two village secretaries due to financial irregularities and negligence in their official duties.
CEO issued a notice to Kodar Singh Katara, former secretary of Salvania gram panchayat to deposit a recovery amount of Rs 3 lakh for failing to complete the construction a CC road approved in 2018 under Scheduled Tribe Basti Vikas Yojana. Similarly, Rajendra Singh Meida (alias Rajkumar Meida), former secretary of Narayangarh gram panchayat was given a notice to deposit Rs 10 lakh for incomplete road construction work in Khakharakundi Nayapada.
Both officials were issued show cause notices by the Court Prescribed Authority and the Chief Executive Officer of district panchayat Ratlam, but failed to appear for consecutive hearings.
Their suspension was enacted under Section 4(1) (a) of the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1999. During their suspension, both will report to Ratlam district panchayat and will receive a subsistence allowance as per regulations.
