Bhikangaon/Khargone (Madhya Pradesh): A Special Forces (SF) jawan, Rajkumar Sharma, allegedly shot himself with his service rifle while on duty in Gogawan of Khargone district on Friday evening. The incident happened around 4 pm at his post in front of Sheetla Mata Temple.
Rajkumar, a resident of Indore and a member of the C Company of the First Battalion, shot himself in the neck. The bullet passed through his head, resulting in his immediate death.
Other jawans and officers nearby rushed to the scene upon hearing the gunshot but were unable to save him.
The reasons behind the suicide remain unclear. While the case is primarily being treated as a suicide, police are investigating other possible factors that may have contributed to this tragic event.
Upon learning of the incident, Khargone SP Dharamraj Meena quickly arrived at the location. The area has been sealed off and barricaded as precaution.
A team of senior police officers, including members of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), conducted an investigation to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
