Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Forest officials in the Choral range apprehended a youth who was attempting to transport seven wooden planks on his bike on Monday. The incident occurred in the Nayapura beat.
The accused was found to be smuggling the planks to Nimad without proper authorisation. The bike used for transportation has also been seized. ‘We have registered a case and are conducting further investigation to uncover the entire network involved in this illegal activity.
We will not hesitate to take strict action against anyone found guilty of violating forest laws,’ - Shyam Gohe, Deputy Ranger said. The forest department is further probing the matter to determine the source of the wooden planks and the accused's involvement in the illegal activity.
