Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The JEE Advanced 2025 exam, the gateway to India’s premier IITs, was conducted smoothly across the country on Sunday, with more than 2 lakh aspirants attempting the crucial test in two sessions, Paper 1 in the morning and Paper 2 in the afternoon.
The exam was held in computer-based mode under strict security arrangements, including biometric verification, surveillance systems, and close monitoring to ensure fairness and transparency.
In Madhya Pradesh, the exam was conducted at multiple centers with 4,000 participation in Indore across five centres, and 6,000 in Bhopal at seven centres.
While the logistics were seamless, several students reported that Paper 2 was more difficult compared to Paper 1. Many cited time-consuming and conceptually demanding questions, particularly in mathematics and physics.
“Mathematics was lengthy and required deep focus,” said Atharv Airen, a student from Jaipur. Prakhar Kothari of Bhopal noted, “Physics in Paper 2 was tough, applying known concepts in unfamiliar formats was challenging.”

On the other hand, chemistry was seen as a relief. “Chemistry was more straightforward and helped balance the overall difficulty,” shared Chirayu Jain from Indore, who found Paper 1 slightly easier.
Education experts agreed with students’ feedback. Renowned JEE mentor KK Sharma said, “The 2025 exam tested more than just academic skills; it demanded mental stamina, time management, and precision under pressure. Paper 2 stood out as particularly tough.”
The official answer key is expected in the coming days, followed by results in early June. Counselling and seat allotment for IITs and other institutes will begin shortly thereafter.
