Indore: Robert Nursing Home To Expand Facilities With ₹18 Crore Building Project & Upgrades

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): To expand facilitiesfor patients, the executive council of Robert Nursing Home has announced plans to construct a new building at an estimated cost of Rs 18 crore. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months by a trusted agency.
As part of the upgrade, a state-of-the-art blood bank will be constructed on the roof of the general ward at a cost of Rs 24 lakh. The 120-year-old hospital, known for providing affordable healthcare, currently operates with 68 beds and a staff of 120.
While preserving its historical structure, the hospital will undergo multiple renovations, including upgrades to the ICU, chemotherapy, and emergency wards, along with improvement in the operation theatre’s waiting area, washrooms and specific rooms. These renovations will cost Rs 35 lakh. Other planned upgrades include installing a patients’ lift at a cost of Rs 12 lakh and adding five new infusion pumps for ICU beds.
The number of beds in the hospital will also be increased to meet growing patient demands. During a meeting chaired by divisional commissioner Deepak Singh, secretary Dr VS Yashlaha informed about the need to balance heritage conservation with modernization. At present, the hospital provides general, private and semi-private wards, with meals supported by a charitable society.
