Indore Municipal Corporation Imposes ₹71k Spot Fine For Littering

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has intensified its crackdown on public littering as part of its ongoing cleanliness drive.

On Monday, a total spot fine of Rs 71k was imposed in two separate incidents under Zone 10 and Zone 22. In Zone 10, the team led by CSI Shivendra Singh Sikarwar took action in Scheme No 134. During an inspection, garbage dumped in an open area was found containing documents that traced the litter back to Deepak Tanwani, a resident of Ward No 40. A spot fine of Rs 31k was immediately levied against him.

Meanwhile, in Zone 22, Assistant CSI Anuj Panwar discovered a large pile of garbage in an open field near Dewas Naka during a routine cleanliness inspection.

Upon investigation, documents in the waste confirmed it originated from Tata AIG Insurance office located at NRK Tech Park on Ring Road. Acting under the direction of Zonal Officer Anand Raidas, the IMC team fined the insurance firm of Rs 40k on the spot.
