Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A home loan company officials were allegedly held captive by a man and his family members in Sanwer Tehsil. The finance company officials had gone for recovery of home loan when they were misbehaved by the accused. The police are investigating the case further.
The incident took place in Titawada village in Sanwer. Deepak Singh Rajawat, an officer from a home loan company, informed media persons that he along with his other employees were held captive by Lakhan Chowdhary of Titawada village.
He said that Chowdhary had borrowed a loan for construction of the house in 2019. He stopped repaying the loan after paying 8 EMIs. Company had sent the notice to him to repay the loan but he didn’t respond.
The company had lodged a complaint with the police and the ADM when he issued an order to recover the loan by taking possession of the constructed house for which the loan was lent.
Recently, the team reached Chowdhary’s village where he and other people held them captive and threatened them of dire consequences.
Advocate Rajesh Khandelwal said that Chowdhary had called other people there and they used abusive words and threatened them and told the home loan company official not to reach his village in future. The incident was reported to the police.
