BJP Marks Dr Mukherjee's 125th Birth Anniversary With District Conference

Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): A district-level BJP workers' conference was organised in Badnawar on Sunday to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee.

Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Tulsiram Silawat delivered the keynote address, while Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur attended as the chief guest.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and was attended by BJP district president Mahant Nilesh Bharti, Dhar MLA Neena Vikram Verma, former Cabinet Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Municipal Council president Meena Shekhar Yadav and other party leaders.

Addressing the gathering, Silawat said Dr Mukherjee devoted his life to nationalism, national unity and public service.

Silawat said India has strengthened its global standing under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and cited initiatives such as Digital India, Make in India, Startup India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and Kisan Samman Nidhi as major welfare programmes.

Union Minister Savitri Thakur and other speakers also shed light on Dr Mukherjee's contribution to nation-building and emphasised strengthening the party organisation.
