Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The fifth procession of Lord Mahakaleshwar was taken out on Monday, August 11, at 4 pm from the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.
As part of the traditional rituals ahead of the Mahakal Sawari, Madhya Pradesh Ministers Krishna Gaur and Gautam Tetwal performed the customary worship of the Lord’s pratima in the Sabhamandapam of the Mahakal Temple on Monday.

The ministers offered prayers, performed aarti, and sought blessings for the well-being of the state and its people. The ritual, conducted in accordance with temple traditions, marked the auspicious beginning of the day’s events before the fifth Mahakal Sawari.
During the event, the palanquin carried Shri Chandramouleshwar while Shri Manmahesh was seated upon the elephant.
Shri Shiv Tandav was on the Garuda chariot, and Shri Uma-Mahesh on the Nandi chariot. Also, the revered visage of the Holkar State deity was placed upon the Dhol chariot.
Four tribal cultural troupes also participated in the procession.
Following the theme of the event, tableaux depicting the religious tourism of Madhya Pradesh were showcased.

Under the religious tourism category, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department presented the replicas of Shri Rajaram Lok from Orchha; the revered Shri Maa Baglamukhi Mata Temple; Maa Sharda Shaktipeeth from Maihar; and the sacred Devi Lok Maa Shri Bijasan Dham from Salkanpur.
