Delhi Shocker: Father shoots 21-year-old daughter dead, body found stuffed in suitcase on Yamuna Expressway

The woman was identified as Ayushi Yadav, 21, a senior police official said.

New Delhi: The woman, whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase near near a service lane of the Yamuna Expressway in UP's Mathura on Friday, has been identified as a resident of Delhi's Badarpur, police informed on Sunday.

The victim Ayushi Yadav's body was reportedly found wrapped in a polythene bag stuffed in a trolley bag. After police investigations, it was found that she was shot dead by her own father, Nitesh Yadav.

As soon as the body was identified by her mother & brother in the mortuary, UP police lodged an FIR under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.

Not clear why Ayushi Yadav was killed

The police started interrogating the victim's family to understand the cause of her murder. Further investigations led to the finding that a few days ago she went somewhere without informing her father. Later after she returned home her father got furious & shot her dead. He further wrapped her body in a polythene bag and stuffed it in a trolley bag, eventually dumped it on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura.

The police discovered her body with several bullet injuries on her chest & bloodstains on her face along with few injuries. Apart from the victim's injured body which was initially unable to idenitfy by the police, a 'kalawa' and a black thread, along with a saree were retrieved from the trolley bag. The investigation started further involving the victim's family to find the accused who turned out to be her own father who is missing after the incident.

The Circle Officer (CO) stated that all the information regarding the case is sent to all the police stations in nearby districts & the victim's body was sent for an autopsy.
