West Bengal: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Emphasis On Importance Of Hindu Society

Kolkata: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday while addressing a rally in West Bengal emphasized on the importance of Hindu society and called it ‘a responsible society’.

Addressing a public rally at SAI complex in Burdwan, Bhagwat said that ‘the responsible society of the country is Hindu society’.

“Those who are unaware of RSS often wonder what Sangh wants. I will tell people that the Sangh wants a responsible society and the responsible society of the country is Hindu society. A responsible society believes unity itself symbolizes diversity,” mentioned Bhagwat.

The RSS chief also mentioned that this country is not just a geography.

“Bharat is not just a geography. It has certain values. Those who stayed in Bharat had naturally inherited the values. Those who could not understand the values have created a separate country. We say ‘Unity in Diversity’, but the Hindu society understands diversity itself is unity. The Hindu society also is capable of accepting world’s diversity,” further mentioned Bhagwat.

The RSS chief also stated that India was not created by the British.

“In India no one remembers the maharajas but remembers the king who went to exile for 14 yeas to keep a promise he had given to his father. The nature of problems we face is irrelevant but how prepared we are to face the problem is important,” claimed Bhagwat.

Notably, the state government earlier didn’t give permission to the Bengal chapter of RSS to hold the rally citing board examinations, but following the permission from Calcutta High Court Bhagwat’s rally was organized in Burdwan.
