West Bengal Governor Approves Prosecution Of TMC Minister Chandranath Sinha In Job Scam Case
According to Raj Bhavan sources, on the basis of evidence placed before the Governor he had given nod for prosecution of Sinha for the offence of money laundering in an Enforcement Directorate (ED) case regarding the primary teachers’ recruitment scam.

Kolkata: West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Friday had approved prosecution of Trinamool Congress (TMC) minister Chandranath Sinha in cash for a job scam.
According to Raj Bhavan sources, on the basis of evidence placed before the Governor he had given nod for prosecution of Sinha for the offence of money laundering in an Enforcement Directorate (ED) case regarding the primary teachers’ recruitment scam.
Notably, Sinha’s name surfaced after interrogating expelled TMC youth leader Kuntal Ghosh.
Earlier, a chargesheet had been filed against former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee in the same scam case.

Incidentally, on Thursday ED had filed chargesheet against state's correctional home minister, Chandranath Sinha at special PMLA court. Sinha is one of the accused in a cash against job scam in the state.
In the charge sheet, the central investigating agency mentioned his alleged role in the nexus that collected money from school job aspirants and the data they collected from the two mobile phones they seized.
The central agency had also mentioned that they have also seized Rs. 41 lakh which was found at Sinha’s residence during a raid last year.
