A daylight robbery in Ayodhya saw a burqa-clad woman loot a jewellery shop in the Agarwal Complex at gunpoint before fleeing with an accomplice. The incident, which occurred around 2:00 pm on Thursday, was captured on CCTV. The footage, now viral on social media, shows the suspect calmly executing the crime before escaping.

Ayodhya: A shocking case of daylight robbery has come to light in Ayodhya. A woman wearing a burqa robbed a jewellery shop in the Agarwal Complex, in the Rudauli police station area, at gunpoint and fled the scene with her accomplice.
The incident reportedly took place on Thursday at around 2:00 pm and was captured on the shop’s CCTV camera.
The footage shows the woman entering the store in a burqa, looking at jewellery, and then suddenly taking it, while brandishing a gun before fleeing the scene. The CCTV footage has gone viral on social media.
The woman reportedly stole approximately 26 grams of gold jewellery from the counter. As of Thursday, gold prices in Uttar Pradesh were ₹14,684 per gram.

Police said that the accused have been identified and will be arrested soon. They also stated that the pistol used in the crime may have been fake, according to Aaj Tak.
The incident has sparked concerns about the city’s security system and has created an atmosphere of fear among residents.
