A case has been registered against the accused under sections of the POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and SC/ST Act. The accused were made to parade in public. On Sunday evening, the accused were taken to the spot on foot and were asked questions by the police regarding their actions.

Kota, September 16: In a shocking incident reported from Rajasthan's Kota, a 12-year-old child, who had gone to a fair, was accused of theft and was stripped, beaten and forced to dance in Rajasthan's Kota. The police arrested six persons involved in the incident. The incident took place on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday (September 11-12). The police and people learnt about the incident after the video showing the cruelty against the boy went viral.
Superintendent of Police of Kota, Dr. Amrita Duhan said that that on Friday the complaint was received in RK Puram police station regarding the incident in which the complainant stated that his 12-year-old son had gone to the fair held at GAD Circle to watch a live comedy show. Late in the night, between 1:00-4:00 am, four to five people accused the child of wire theft. After stripping the child, they beat and forced him to dance and also recorded a video.

Looking at the seriousness of the case, an FIR was registered, and a team was formed under the supervision of senior officials. The team investigated the matter and arrested six persons involved in the incident.
