Hamirpur: A tragic incident in Hamirpur saw a mother die after falling from the roof of a two story house while attempting to save her son who had threatened suicide. The son sustained serious injuries in the fall.
The incident occurred at the Kanshiram Colony in Hamirpur city. Ramkali, wife of Ram Singh, reportedly rushed to the roof after her 23-year-old son, Anil Kumar, threatened to end his life following a domestic dispute.
Both fell from approximately 30 feet, with Ramkali landing headfirst. They were rushed to the district hospital. Due to her critical condition, Ramkali was referred to Kanpur's Hallet Hospital and then further to Lucknow, but she died en route.

Her family reportedly brought her body back to Hamirpur and performed the last rites without informing the police. Inspector Rakesh Kumar of Hamirpur Sadar Kotwali stated that police were not officially notified but are investigating the matter and will take action based on their findings.
