Ashwini Singh, the 21-year-old son of former BSP district president Ram Avtar Singh, died by suicide late Monday night at his Amroha home by shooting himself with a licensed revolver. The incident occurred while his parents and sister were away in Meerut to buy medicine. The body was found in a pool of blood around 11 PM when the family returned, prompting immediate police action.

Amroha: Ashwini Singh, the 21-year-old son of former BSP district president Ram Avtar Singh, died by suicide late Monday night at his Amroha home by shooting himself with a licensed revolver. The incident occurred while his parents and sister were away in Meerut to buy medicine. The body was found in a pool of blood around 11 PM when the family returned, prompting immediate police action.
Ashwini, a final-year CA student living in Delhi, was reportedly alone at home. Police have begun scanning his mobile call records and chat history for clues. DVR footage from the home’s CCTV system has also been seized to reconstruct the day's events.
Ram Avtar Singh, originally from Khandsaal Kala village under Naugawan Sadat police limits, remains in shock following the loss of his only son.
