It was represented by Congress until 2019, when Smriti Irani won the seat by defeating Rahul Gandhi. This time, Congress has chosen KL Sharma as their representative from the constituency, setting the stage for a tough fight between him and Smriti Irani.

Congress candidate KL Sharma, who is fighting against BJP's Smriti Irani, is leading from Amethi constituency with 2,22,251 votes. During the vote counting, KL Sharma interacted with the media and said, "Let the counting conclude. Several rounds remain, we will talk after that..."

Difference in vote percentage

Kishori Lal continuous to lead the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency with a total of 3,68,487 votes.

Congress' Kishori Lal is leading from Amethi Constituency with a total 26,95,01 votes. On the other hand, Smriti Irani is shown trailing with total 1,94,384 votes.

BJP's Smriti Irani is shown trailing against Congress' KL Sharma with a vote of 1,27,802, while KL Sharma is shown ahead in Amethi with a total vote of 54,483.

According to the Election Commission of India, BJP's Smriti Irani, who was leading in Amethi against KL Sharma with good numbers, is shown trailing against Congress' KL Sharma with a total vote of 1,01,193, according to the latest trends.
