Badaun: A shocking incident has emerged from Badaun, where a Sub-Inspector at Qadarchowk police station is accused of raping a kidnapped minor girl after recovering her. The victim recorded a statement against the SI in court, exposing the alleged misconduct. The SI, Hariom, reportedly transferred to another district from Qadarchowk police station on June 25.
The minor Hindu girl was abducted on June 9 by a youth from another village. Her family filed a kidnapping complaint on June 10. Following inaction from the police, Hindu organizations intervened, staging a protest and siege of the Qadarchowk police station on June 20, which finally prompted police action. The SI located and recovered the girl from Tamil Nadu.
The victim alleges that SI Hariom confined her in his room at the police station and sexually assaulted her. When presented in court on June 28 to record her statement, she explicitly accused the SI of rape.

Upon being handed over to her family, she also recounted the horrific ordeal to them. The outraged family now intends to file a complaint with senior police officials. This incident has sparked widespread anger among the victim's family and the community, putting immense pressure on the police department to take action against the accused SI.
