UP News: 13 Teachers Dismissed For Using Fake Documents In Shravasti ; FIRs Ordered in 2016 Recruitment Scam
These 13 assistant teachers were part of the 29,334 teacher recruitment drive launched on August 26, 2016. They were employed in upper primary schools across various development blocks in the district. Following an investigation, notices were issued to these teachers, requesting them to present their original documents for verification.

Shravasti: In a continuing crackdown on fraudulent appointments, 13 teachers in Shravasti have been dismissed from service after being found working with fake documents. The Basic Education Department has also ordered the registration of First Information Reports (FIRs) against all of them. This action has created a stir within the education sector.
These 13 assistant teachers were part of the 29,334 teacher recruitment drive launched on August 26, 2016. They were employed in upper primary schools across various development blocks in the district. Following an investigation, notices were issued to these teachers, requesting them to present their original documents for verification. However, they failed to produce valid papers.

On Tuesday, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) ordered their dismissal and instructed the concerned Block Education Officers (BEOs) to file FIRs against them. The BSA, Ajay Kumar, stated that departmental action and criminal cases would also be registered against six other accused teachers, with ongoing investigations into additional teachers suspected of similar offenses.
