UP Horror: 20-Year-Old Girl Found Hanging From Tree In Ballia; Police Suspect Murder
A 20-year-old girl, identified as Pooja Chauhan, was found dead, hanging from a tree in Ballia, with her hands tied behind her back. As per reports, the unusual positioning led the police to suspect that the death was not a suicide.

Ballia, Uttar Pradesh: A chilling incident rocked Ballia after the body of a 20-year-old girl, identified as Pooja Chauhan, was discovered hanging from a tree on Sunday (March 23) morning, triggering widespread suspicion of murder. As per a report by Aaj Tak, the victim's family has alleged foul play.
According to police reports, the authorities found Pooja's body suspended from a tree with a rope, with her hands tied behind her back and her feet dangling approximately six feet above the ground. This unusual positioning led investigators to suspect that the death was not a suicide.

As per the report, SP Omveer Singh stated that Pooja was alone at her residence as her parents had travelled to PGI Hospital in Lucknow for medical treatment two days prior. Her brother is employed in Gujarat, and her married sister resides in Assam. The isolated location of the house, with neighboring residences situated 40-50 meters away, meant that no one witnessed the incident.
"Given the gravity of the situation, we have formed four dedicated teams to investigate all angles," SP Omveer Singh told Aaj Tak. The investigating teams comprise local police, a surveillance team, the circle officer of Rasra, and the Additional Superintendent of Police.
Reprotedly, the victim's body has been sent for a postmortem examination, which is expected to provide crucial insights into the precise cause of death.
