Tumakuru: A shocking incident surfaced from Karnataka's Tumakuru, where a man allegedly strangled his father to death. The accused, Surya, tried to cover up the alleged murder with a false story of an accident. The incident took place on May 11. However, the matter surfaced after the sister of the deceased, 55-year-old Nagesh, became suspicious and filed a police complaint, reported NDTV.
The police started examining CCTV footage from the crime scene. As per the report, Nagesha nd his son were at the Apollo Ice Cream Factory on the night of May 11,
A verbal argument broke out between the two at around 1:45 am, as per CCTV footage. Soon the matter escalated, and the argument turned into a physical altercation.
In the CCTV footage, Nagesh could be seen slapping Surya and even hitting him with his slipper. Surya reportedly tried to stop his father as he picked up a stick to hit him. In the CCTV footage. The accused could be seen holding a white cloth. As soon as Nagesh turned, Surya strangled him to death.
As per the NDTV report, Surya's friend also helped in the murder. The accused and his friend then put Nagesh's body on the bed. To cover up his crime, Surya allegedly applied an electric shock to the fingers.
However, the two men were arrested after Nagesh's sister suspected foul play and filed a complaint. When the police examined the CCTV footage, they came to know the exact reason for Nagesh's death. Both the accused were arrested.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
