S Jaishankar To Attend Donald Trump's Inauguration On Jan 20, Says MEA
The world leaders who have reportedly received invitations to attend the ceremony include Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Argentina's Javier Milei, and El Salvador's Nayib Bukele.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is set to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President-Elect Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America on January 20.
In a release, the External Affairs Ministry on Sunday stated, "On the invitation of the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the Swearing-in Ceremony of President-Elect Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America."
According to the release, during his US trip, S Jaishankar is expected to meet with representatives of the incoming Administration.
He will also meet other dignitaries visiting the US for the occasion.
Notably, Chinese President Xi Jinping has been invited for the January 20 inauguration but he won't be attending the event as he has reportedly turned down the invitation.
According to news reports, many world leaders are pressing their agents to get an invitation for the mega event.
According to TOI, the top leaders who want to attend the event are from Chile, Peru, Nigeria and Mozambique.
