Republic Day 2025: Countries Around The World Extend Wishes To India

Embassies of various countries in India took to X (formerly Twitter) to wish India on 76th Republic Day.

Wishes poured-in for India from countries around the world as it celebrated its 76th Republic Day. Notable among them were the US, Brazil, France, South Africa, Russia, Nepal, the UAE, China and several other countries.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a statement wishing Indians on the occasion of Republic Day.

"On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of India as they celebrate their nation's Republic Day. As they commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, we join them in recognising its enduring significance as the foundation of the world's largest democracy," said the statement.

France made several posts as it wished Indians on Republic Day.

Brazil took to X as well to extend Republic Day wishes.

"The Embassy of Brazil in India extends its warmest wishes to the Indian people on this Republic Day!" said the embassy

Nepal Wished 'friendly' Indian people on the 76th Republic Day.

India and Russia have had ties that go back decades. The Russian embassy wished India on the Republic Day.

Even China joined the chorus and extended wishes.

The Czech Embassy in New Delhi posted on X, "The Czech Embassy in New Delhi extends its warm wishes to India on its Republic Day, celebrating the spirit of unity, democracy, and the enduring strength of the nation's constitution! Jai Hind!"

Australia's Foreign Minister Penny Wong extended her Republic Day wishes on X.

On the Republic Day, New Delhi's Kartavya Path witnessed a grand parade which takes place every year. The armed forces of India, the state and central governments held exhibits and displayed Tableus in the Republic Day Parade.
