Rajasthan Ex-CM Ashok Gehlot & Sachin Pilot Reunite After 7 Years, Share Cordial Moment In Jaipur

Jaipur: It was a picture for Congress workers of Rajasthan were waiting for almost seven years when two most senior leaders, former CM Ashok Gehlot and his ex-deputy Sachin Pilot meeting cordially without anyone between them.

After a long time, Sachin Pilot met Ashok Gehlot at his bungalow in Jaipur on Saturday and invited him to the program to be held on the 25th death anniversary of his father veteran Congress leader Rajesh Pilot.

Gehlot wrote on X after this meeting "AICC General Secretary Sachin Pilot at the residence. Invited for the program organized on the 25th death anniversary of former Union Minister Late Rajesh Pilot. Rajesh Pilot and I reached the Lok Sabha together for the first time in 1980. We were MPs together for about 18 years. We are still saddened by his sudden demise. The party was also deeply shocked by his departure.”

Notably, there has been bitterness between the two leaders for a long time, which was on peak during the political crisis of 2020 when Sachin goes rebellion with sone MLAs. After this, there was a continuous round of allegations and counter-allegations between the two and ultimately, Congress lost the government in the state.
