Punjab: Blast Reported At BJP Leader Manoranjan Kalia's Jalandhar House; Investigation Underway

A bomb reportedly exploded at the Jalandhar residence of BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Police were immediately dispatched to the scene after being informed about the explosion.
According to DCP Manpreet Singh, who confirmed the incident, a forensic investigation is currently underway to determine the exact nature and source of the explosion. Preliminary reports suggest that the BJP leader's house was attacked with hand grenades.
BJP leader told reporters, "There was a blast at around 1 am...I was sleeping, and I thought that it was the sound of thunder...Later I was informed that a blast had taken place...after this, I sent my gunman to the police station...CCTV is being investigated; forensic experts are also present here..."
The explosion was reportedly so powerful that it shattered doors and glass windows of the house. The loud noise brought the entire area to a standstill. Kalia was at home when the incident occurred.
