On Camera: Police Rescue UP Man Who Attempted Suicide By Hanging After Fight With Wife Over Food In Hamirpur
The man was unconscious and bleeding from his nose due to the pressure on his neck. He was rushed to Sadar Hospital by ambulance late on Sunday night, where he remains in a serious condition.

In a disturbing incident in Uttar Pradesh' Hamirpur, a 30-year-old man tried to take his own life by hanging following a fight with his wife over a delay in serving food. The incident took place in Kuchecha Ward, within the jurisdiction of Sadar Kotwali police station.
Vinod, son of Ram Prakash and a poclain machine operator by profession, locked himself in a room after the altercation with his wife escalated on Sunday evening. Worried family members promptly informed Sub-Inspector Surendra Pal at the Kuchecha police outpost.
Officers, including Constables Ashish Kumar and Rahul Rathore, arrived at the scene. Finding the door locked from the inside with no response from Vinod, they forced it open using a axe. With the help of a child who reached through to unlock the handle, they gained entry and found Vinod hanging. They swiftly cut him down.
