Nandurbar: An incident of stone pelting was reported from Maharashtra's Nandurbar city on the intervening night of Sunday night. The stone pelting occurred after two groups came face to face near Trikoni Building following an accident between a rickshaw and a motorcycle.
Notably, the accident took place on Sunday morning between an auto rickshaw and a motorcycle. It led to unrest in the city. After receiving information about the incident of stone-pelting and arson, police immediately swung into action.

"Around 10 pm yesterday, people of a particular community started pelting stones. Earlier in the day, an offence was registered about an incident, in the background of which the stone pelting took place," ASP Shravan S Dutt told news agency ANI.
No casualties or collateral damage was reported. Heavy police deployment has been made in the area to avoid any untoward incidents.
Statement By ASP Shravan S Dutt:
"Police forces deployed on the spot controlled the situation as a result of which violence did not spread to other areas. No property damage or casualty has been reported. Registration of offence is being done," the police officer added.
The police have identified some suspects. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
