Jharkhand: 3 Workers Dead After Being Swept Away In Khawa River Following Heavy Rains In Hazaribagh (VIDEO)
Three people lost their lives after river water entered an illegal coal mine in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh on Friday. According to Circle Officer Ram Ratan Barnwal, the workers were swept away in the Khawa River on Wednesday following heavy rains in the area.

Hazaribagh: In a tragic incident, three people lost their lives after river water entered an illegal coal mine in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh on Friday. The incident took place in the Bariatu Khawa area of the district.
After receiving the information, senior officials reached the spot and a search operation was launched. According to Circle Officer Ram Ratan Barnwal, the three workers were swept away in the Khawa River on Wednesday evening following heavy rains in the area.
"We received information late in the evening that 3 workers were swept away in the Khawa river...We saw a pit here and felt that illegal mining must have been going on here earlier... We have brought a machine here and are pumping out water," Barnwal told reporters.
He further added that on Thursday morning the search operation was launched. Efforts are currently underway to recover the bodies of the three workers. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
