In a heart-wrenching incident from Uttar Pradesh's Amroha district, a 35-year-old woman took her own life after being unable to cope with the death of her beloved pet cat. Pooja, who lived near the Shiva temple on Rahra Road in Hasanpur town, hanged herself from the third floor of her home on Saturday evening, devastated by grief over her pet's passing.
According to family members, Pooja, the eldest among four siblings, had kept the cat's body with her for three days after its death, hoping against hope that it would wake up. When the reality of her pet's demise finally set in, she made the tragic decision to end her life.
Relatives revealed that Pooja had been caring for the cat for a considerable time, and her entire life revolved around her feline companion. She would eat, drink, and sleep alongside her pet. The bond between them was extraordinarily strong, to the point where she couldn't imagine life without her cat.

Upon receiving information about the suicide, police promptly arrived at the scene. Authorities took possession of the deceased's body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Police have initiated an investigation into the case.
