Technological advancement brings convenience to many but also causes hardship for those unable to adapt quickly. In today's era, where digital connectivity allows us to book rides from home with just a tap on our smartphones, many traditional cab service providers argue that apps like Rapido and Uber are threatening their livelihoods.
A recent incident in Telangana's Khammam district saw a verbal clash break out between a Rapido driver and local auto-rickshaw drivers.
A video of the heated exchange has gone viral on social media.
According to reports, when the Rapido driver arrived at Khammam bus stand to pick up a passenger, auto drivers at the spot confronted him.
They warned, “Don’t come here again. Because of you, we’re losing customers. Leave now.” The Rapido driver responded, “Who are you to tell me not to come? I’m not begging passengers—I only came because someone booked a ride.”
The argument soon escalated, prompting police intervention. Authorities later brought the situation under control.
