DCW chief issues notice to cops over viral video of man 'shamelessly masturbating' in Delhi Metro

Delhi Metro Masturbation CaseL Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal on Friday strongly reacted to a video that went viral on social media on Thursday in which a young man traveling on the Delhi Metro can be seen masturbating while the others around him are embarrassed and are moving away.

Taking a stern stance on it, Swati Maliwal issued a notice to the Delhi Police and Delhi Metro on Friday to take strictest action against the shameful act.

"Came across a viral video where a man can be seen shamelessly masturbating in Delhi Metro. It is absolutely disgusting and sickening. I am issuing a notice to Delhi Police and Delhi Metro to ensure strictest possible action against this shameful act." She tweeted from her Twitter account.

In the shocking video, the man can be seen looking into his phone and then seen masturbating. There is another woman passenger sitting next to him who is evidently disturbed by the man's actions. The video was shot by a fellow commuter. Couple of seats on the same row is seen a man ignoring this pervert's actions even as the one shooting the video doesn't seem to care about stopping the accused from committing such a despicable act.

This is not the first time something like this has happened

This is not the first time that a video like this has gone viral of an indecent act or behaviour taking place on the Delhi Metro. Recently, a video of a woman wearing a bra and a miniskirt and traveling in the Delhi Metro went viral. The girl in the viral video is Rhythm Chanana, a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib, a city of Punjab. The girl comes from a traditional family, but because of her open views, she does not get along well with the family.

Delhi Metro's statement previous incidents

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) later issued a statement urging commuters to follow "social etiquette and protocols that are acceptable in society".

The girl disagreed with DMRC and said that they have a no videography policy inside trains. "If they have a problem with my attire, they should also have a problem with those who shot it," she told.
