Guwahati: The volatile situation at the Jorabat inter-state border entered its third consecutive day, marked by intense protests and high-strung emotions.
Protests Over Convoy Movement: Amid the ongoing blockade and friction, tension flared up further when the official convoy carrying Meghalaya’s Deputy Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary crossed towards Guwahati.
Slogan Chanting:
Frustrated protesters and transport workers at the site swarmed the area, raising vociferous slogans such as "Meghalaya Government, down, down" (Meghalaya Sarkar Hay Hay) and "Meghalaya Government, go back" in sharp protest against the recent targeting of Assam-registered vehicles.
