Chhattisgarh: State Election Commission Urges Collectors & DEOs To Promote Awareness Of EVM
It has been mentioned that civic bodies elections-2014 were conducted through the EVMs while the civic bodies elections-2019 were held through ballot papers.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh State Election Commission(SEC) instructed all the Collectors and District Education Officers (DEOs), to create awareness among common people about the usage of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
All the DEOs have been asked to organise the demonstration of the EVMs in every ward of 173 civic bodies, which will go to polls on February 11.
It has been mentioned that civic bodies elections-2014 were conducted through the EVMs while the civic bodies elections-2019 were held through ballot papers.
It has also been asked to set up the EVM demonstration centre in every ward of the civic bodies. Common people must be informed about the process of voting through the EVMs.
A media workshop should be organized regarding the EVM demonstration. EVM demonstration units should be set up at the offices of Collectorate, Sub Divisional Officer, Tehsil, Chief Municipal Officer, professional and degree colleges.
