Chhattisgarh News: CBI Challenges Former CM Bhupesh Baghel’s Acquittal In CD Scandal Case; Files Revision Petition
The CD scandal case took a new turn as the CBI filed a revision petition challenging the acquittal of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Earlier, the special CBI court in Raipur had acquitted Baghel, stating that there was no basis for prosecuting him.

Raipur: The CD scandal case took a new turn as the CBI filed a revision petition challenging the acquittal of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Earlier, the special CBI court in Raipur had acquitted Baghel, stating that there was no basis for prosecuting him.
According to sources, the CBI has now approached the district judge's court, which has forwarded the case file to the special CBI court. A hearing date will be set soon.

The case, which resurfaced after seven years, saw the special CBI court dismiss all charges against Baghel. However, the CBI has now decided to contest this ruling, reigniting the legal battle.
