New Delhi: The new complex housing the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) will be called "Seva Teerth", claimed reports. This new complex has been designed as part of the Central Vista redevelopment project. Earlier, the new complex was known as 'Executive Enclave'.
The Prime Minister will operate from Seva Teerth-1, reported India TV. The complex will also comprise offices of the Cabinet Secretariat, National Security Council Secretariat and India House, which will be a venue for high-level talks with visiting dignitaries.
The 'Seva Teerth' will be a workplace designed to reflect the spirit of service and where national priorities take shape, officials said, adding that India's public institutions were undergoing a quiet but profound shift, reported PTI.
The idea of governance is moving from 'satta' (power) to 'seva' (service) and from authority to responsibility, they said.

"These changes mark a deeper ideological transition. Indian democracy is choosing responsibility over power and service over status," the officials said, as quoted by the news agency.
"A shift in names is also a shift in mindset. Today, they speak the language of seva, kartavya and citizen-first governance," the officials added.
Meanwhile, on Monday eight states and a Union territory renamed their governor/lieutenant governor’s house from ‘Raj Bhavan/Raj Niwas’ to ‘Lok Bhavan/Lok Niwas’. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued a directive in this regard.
The MHA issued letters to principal secretaries or secretaries to state governors and lieutenant governors of UTs to rename ‘Raj Bhavans’ as ‘Lok Bhavans’. As per the MHA, the word Raj Bhavan depicted colonial mindset.
In 2016, the Prime Minister’s official residence was renamed Lok Kalyan Marg. Meanwhile, the Central Secretariat is now called Kartavya Bhavan.
On similar lines, Raj Path also became Kartavya Path.
