Patna: Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal on Sunday did not rule out the possibility of conspiracy behind the stampede at New Delhi railway station, claiming 18 lives.
Jaiswal said that there seemed to be a conspiracy behind the stampede breaking out all of a sudden. He said that the incident should be investigated from the conspiracy angle also.
While contending that making comments on religious faith was inappropriate, he also targeted former railway minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's statement that Kumbha was meaningless.
"Lalu has aged now. He himself doesn't know what he says anymore," he commented.
Tweet Of RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav
On the other hand, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav commented on ‘X’, “The country is asking, Bihar is asking who is responsible for these deaths? These are devotees, not a crowd. The government and the media should stop calling them a crowd. The government was fully responsible for the service, facilities and security of all the devotees.”
“If this double engine government had paid as much attention to the arrangements of the fair as it was busy in publicity by playing drums, so many devotees would not have lost their lives. The government is responsible for the lives lost due to failure and mismanagement and there is no forgiveness for this. Neither the public nor mother Ganga will forgive," he remarked.
