In a setback to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, a special court in Karnataka has ordered the Lokayukta police to continue the investigation in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case, which allegedly involves the Chief Minister.
The court reportedly stated that the Lokayukta should complete its full investigation, and until then, there would be no orders on the B report.
The court has also permitted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to file a protest petition if it deems fit in response to the Lokayukta report.
The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for May 7.
The report filed by Karnataka Lokayukta police cleared the Siddaramaiah of wrongdoing. However ED and complainant challenged the report demanding further investigation, reported PTI.
Upon this, the court said that a decision on the B Report would be taken only after the Lokayukta police submits a complete investigation report.
CM Siddaramaiah has been accused of misusing his position in allocation of sites by MUDA.
