Aligarh: 8-Yr-Old Girl Dies Of Heart Attack While Playing At Home In Lodhinagar

Aligarh witnessed two heartbreaking incidents this weekend, where two young children lost their lives to sudden heart attacks.  

In the first incident, 8-year-old Diksha, a Class 3 student at Green Valley Convent Public School, passed away on Saturday evening while playing at her home in Lodhinagar. According to her family, Diksha was running around with her siblings in the courtyard when she suddenly complained of chest pain and began screaming. Her uncle, Virendra Rajput, shared that foam started coming out of her mouth, and moments later, she fainted.  

Believing it might be a case of a poisonous insect bite, her family rushed her to a nearby private doctor, who declared her dead on arrival. The doctor confirmed that Diksha had suffered a heart attack. The young girl is survived by her elder sister Monika, 15, a Class 7 student, and her brother Sameer, 13.  

Family refuses to conduct a postmortem

The family described Diksha as a healthy child and refused to conduct a postmortem after the police visited their home. The local police subsequently respected their decision and left the scene.

In a similar incident on Friday morning, a 14-year-old boy from the Chharra area of Aligarh died of a heart attack. The boy had gone for an early morning run at 6 a.m., preparing for a school competition. Tragically, he collapsed and could not be revived.  

These sudden deaths have left the locals in shock, raising concerns about the health of children and the importance of early medical awareness for such conditions.
