2 Undertrials Facing POCSO Charges Escape From Srinagar Central Jail, Manhunt Launched
Two undertrials facing POCSO Act charges allegedly escaped from Central Jail in Srinagar, officials said on Sunday. The accused, identified as Farman Khan and Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar, are charged under Sections 3 and 4 of the POCSO Act in separate cases. Police have launched a manhunt and issued look-out notices at Kashmir's exit points to trace the duo.

Two undertrials facing charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act allegedly escaped from the Central Jail in Srinagar, officials said on Sunday.
The two were identified as Farman Khan, a resident of Rajasthan, and Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar, a resident of Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Khan faces charges under Sections 3 and 4 of the POCSO Act, pertaining to penetrative sexual assault, in a case registered at Lar police station in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district.

Gujjar faces the same charges in a separate case registered at Soura police station in Srinagar.
Police have launched a massive manhunt to trace and apprehend the two, officials said. Look-out notices have also been issued at all exit points of Kashmir.
