'Why Tie Rakhi In Bikini?': Kangana Ranaut Takes Dig At Kriti Sanon's Ad, Calls It 'Intentionally Creepy'

Kangana Ranaut has taken a dig at Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon over her Raksha Bandhan advertisement. Questioning Kriti’s choice of outfit in the ad, Kangana asked why she would tie a Rakhi to her brother while dressed in what she described as a bikini or undergarments. She also called the advertisement “creepy.”

Kangana shared her reaction on her Instagram Story, writing, “It is a wonderful time to be a woman, our closets are full of variety of clothes.” She went on to highlight the wide range of fashion choices available to women today, from “cocktail dresses to lehnga cholis, jeans to saris, bikinis to salwar kameez.”

Kangana then questioned Kriti’s styling choice in the advertisement, without directly naming the actress. She asked why, with so many options available, she chose to wear a bikini while tying a Rakhi to her brother.

“Where are all your styling options?” Kangana questioned, before taking a further dig at the advertisement, writing, “Ha ha the advert looks intentionally creepy!”

What Is The Kriti Sanon Raksha Bandhan Advertisement?

Kriti features in a Raksha Bandhan jewellery advertisement by GIVA, titled “Furever Sibling.” The campaign attempts to give the traditional festival a modern, pet-friendly spin. In the ad, Kriti celebrates Raksha Bandhan with her brother, ties him a traditional rakhi, and then extends the gesture to her pet dog by tying a rakhi to him as well. The campaign was created to promote GIVA’s pet collection.

Kriti is seen wearing an off-white bralette-style blouse with a cape and draped skirt. While the overall look has traditional elements, some social media users felt that the blouse was too revealing for a Raksha Bandhan-themed advertisement. Several trolls referred to it as a “bra” or “bikini” and questioned why Kriti was dressed that way while celebrating the festival with her brother.
