Actor Sunny Deol opened up about recreating his iconic 'dhai kilo ka haath' dialogue in his latest release, Jaat, and revealed how he was not very happy about using it in the film. The actor stated that he had his inhibitions but director Gopichand Malineni convinced him to use the dialogue in the high-voltage actioner.
While speaking to IMDb, Deol said, "I was a little bit not so happy about it, to be very definite, but then I understood why it is required and why the director has conceived that particular dialogue to be there in that scene. It comes across very well and now everybody is talking about it."
The dialogue is originally from Sunny Deol, Meenakshi Seshadri and Rishi Kapoor's 1993 film, Damini.
Jaat released in theatres on April 10, and it has been doing well at the box office, especially in the northern belt and single screens. After earning Rs 6 crore on Tuesday, the film's total box office collection crossed the Rs 50 crore mark.
On Wednesday, Deol took to his Instagram to share some BTS shots from the film and he thanked the audience for all the love and hype. "Feeling all the love coming in for the #Jaat theme song and the film — it’s overwhelming.. Sharing some BTS moments straight from the shoot. This one’s for everyone who’s felt the energy of this track — go ahead, make your own reels, dance, vibe, feel it in your soul (sic)," he wrote.
Besides Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, Jaat also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra, Urvashi Rautela, Saiyami Kher and Ayesha Khan in key roles.
