Vidya Balan WARNS Netizens Of Her Viral AI-Generated Video: 'Urge Everyone To Verify Information Before Sharing'

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan took to her social media to warn her fans about several fake videos of her doing the rounds on the internet. She stated that the malicious videos were made using artificial intelligence (AI), and urged everyone to not fall prey to it.

In the video, an AI-generated version of Vidya can be seen seated on a sofa and saying, "Hey, main hoon aap sabki favourite Vidya Balan...". Sharing the video, the actress put up a huge 'Scam Alert' illustration on

Along with that, she penned a note for her Instagram followers that read, "There are multiple videos currently circulating on social media and WhatsApp, which appear to feature me. However, I want to clarify that the videos are AI-generated and inauthentic. I have no involvement in its creation or dissemination, nor do I endorse its content in any way."

She went on to say, "Any claims made in the videos should not be attributed to me, as it does not reflect my views or work. I urge everyone to verify information before sharing and be cautious of misleading AI-generated content."

This is not the first time a celeb has fallen prey to the fake AI video scam. Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna was all over the news after a deepfake video of the actress showing her in an objectionable position went viral. Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, Sachin Tendulkar and others too have faced similar problems in the past.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vidya was last seen in the film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which was a hit at the box office. The film also starred Kartik Aaryan and Madhuri Dixit in key roles. It released in theatres during Diwali 2024, and despite its clash with Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty's much-hyped Singham Again, it emerged victorious at the box office.
