Plot overview

Tourist Family tells the story of a Sri Lankan Tamil family: Das, his wife Vasanthi, and their sons Nithushan and Mulli. They flee the crisis-ridden Sri Lanka and seek refuge in India. With the help of Vasanthi's brother Prakash, they settle in Chennai, adopting a fake Malayali identity. However, their lives take a turn when a bombing incident in Rameshwaram triggers a police investigation that focuses on Sri Lankan Tamil families in the state. Will Das be able to save his family?
