Bigg Boss 16: Gautam Singh Vig reveals his special connection with Salman Khan

Actor Gautam Singh Vig is currently seen in the latest season of Salman Khan's most talked-about reality show, Bigg Boss. He is news for the last few days for becoming the second captain of the ongoing season.

Before he entered the Bigg Boss house, The Free Press Journal caught up with Gautam for an exclusive interaction.

On participating in a reality show for the first time, the actor said, “Bigg Boss is one of the biggest shows and I'm blessed to be a part of it. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. It's scary as well.”

When asked how he prepared for the show, Gautam said, “I don't have strategies. I'm going to go with the flow, with an open mind, and free hands. Whatever comes in, I'll take it and react accordingly. I will take a stand for what is right. Life has prepared me for this kind of thing and I believe it's time to see where I stand. There is no special preparation as such.”

Gautam stated that his motive behind doing the show is to get recognition. “I want the audience to see and know my real side. I want people to love me the way I am. In my previous shows, I have played a character but this is the platform where I can be as real as I can. I can entertain and have fun with people,” he shared.

Gautam revealed he has a special 'connection' with host Salman Khan. “I had done the Bigg Boss 9 promo with him and I have a special connection with him because he's the first celebrity I worked with. For me, being a promo guy to a contestant in the show has been quite a journey. I've worked hard for it and I think I'm blessed that I'll be standing next to him as a contestant. It's an achievement and I'm hoping he'll be happy to see me like this. He's a senior in the industry so I always respect and admire him and his work,” he added.

The actor has followed several seasons of the show and shared a list of his favourite contestants. “I liked Sidharth Shukla, Asim Riaz, and Shehnaaz Gill (Bigg Boss 13 contestants). I also liked Prince Narula and Hina Khan's game. They were real on the show and that's the reason they stayed till the end, I believe. I will try my best to be as real as I can like them and make people happy,” he concluded.
