Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer Sky Force has received positive reviews from the critics, and even the audience is liking it. Everyone is praising Akshay's performance, and they are stating that he will win awards for it. While the movie has got a huge release worldwide, reportedly, the movie has been banned in several territories of Middle East.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Sky Force is banned in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and other countries. While it is not yet exactly known why the movie has been banned, an insider told the portal, “Sky Force deals with tensions between India and Pakistan. Some of such films in the past have faced bans in the Middle East and that could be the probable reason.”
While talking about the ban another source said, “Sky Force is not jingoistic and doesn’t indulge in Pakistan bashing as some other films of Bollywood have done in recent times. Hence, this ban in the Middle Eastern belt comes as a huge surprise.”
This is not the first time, when an a film has been banned in Middle East. Last year, even Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer didn't get a release there.
If we take the worldwide box office collection into consideration, then Middle East surely gives a boost to the collection of a film. So, let's see if this ban in several territories will affect the collection of Sky Force or not.
