Rupali Ganguly Strongly REACTS To YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra's Arrest For Spying For Pakistan: 'Not A Single One Should Be Spared'
Rupali Ganguly strongly reacted to YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra's arrest for allegedly spying for Pakistan. On Saturday, the Anupamaa actress wrote on X, "Don't know how many are secretly working against the country. Not one should be spared." Malhotra has been sent to police custody for five days.

Television actress Rupali Ganguly strongly reacted to the arrest of Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested by Hisar police for allegedly spying for Pakistan and sharing sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence operatives. She was booked under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act and Section 152 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
On Saturday (May 17, 2025) Rupali took to her X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Such people do not even realise when their love for Pakistan turns into hatred for India. Initially they talk about 'Aman Ki Aasha' and ends up hating India. Don't know how many such people are secretly working against the country, not a single one should be spared. #JyotiMalhotra."

Known online for her travel channel Travel with Jo, which has nearly 4 lakh subscribers, Jyoti, 33, travelled to Pakistan twice in 2023, where she met individuals identified as Ali Ehwan, Shakir, and Rana Shahbaz. To avoid detection, she saved their contact details under misleading names such as 'Jatt Randhawa'. Communications with these individuals took place over WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat, the FIR claimed.
She also reportedly travelled to Bali, Indonesia, accompanied by one of the operatives, indicating a deeper involvement beyond online communication.
Jyoti's father Haris Malhotra stated that she had visited the country to shoot videos. "She used to visit Pakistan and other places to shoot videos for YouTube. If she has some friends there, can't she call them? I have no demands, but give us our phones. A case has been registered against us," Haris told ANI.
Her arrest comes weeks after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which more than 25 civilians were killed.
