Rupali Ganguly Pens Emotional Note After Fire On Anupamaa Set In Mumbai: 'My Second Home Now Stands Still, But Not Broken'

Television actress Rupali Ganguly issued a statement after a massive blaze erupted on the sets of her show Anupamaa in Mumbai on Monday. The sets, located in Film City, Goregaon, caught fire, causing significant damage to property. While the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, Rupali penned an emotional note, expressing gratitude to her fans for their prayers during this difficult time.

Taking to her social media handle, Rupali wrote on Thursday, "What was once my second home, my karmbhoomi, and a sacred space I considered a temple, now stands still, but not broken. With Rajan ji's steady leadership, I'm reminded that even a setback can serve as a springboard -one that fuels us to rise, rebuild, and pour our hearts into what comes next. Like he says, what was lost can be created again. What truly matters are the lives that were saved."

On Tuesday, The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) had formally written to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, demanding an urgent and high-level inquiry after the fire incident.

The organisation also asked for a statewide fire audit of every studio and film set in Maharashtra, and stated that production houses and channels that fail to comply with mandatory fire safety protocols must be blacklisted.
