Taha Shah Badussha and Helly Shah are currently seen in the music video of the song, Humko Na Mohabbat Karne De. It has been directed by Rahat Kazmi and shot in the scenic locales of Kashmir. The romantic number by Panorama Music is sung by Gul Saxena and Saaj Bhatt and composed by Yasin Darbar. The Free Press Journal caught up with the two actors for an exclusive chat. Excerpts:

Tell us about the song and its music video...

Taha: When a couple falls in love and is in a relationship, it’s all about religion, culture, and so many other things. I have seen so many love stories in real life. My brother’s love story is similar to the ones who ran away and got married. He had eloped to Canada. My mom was stressed a lot about this incident.

Helly: It’s a story about two lovers and, after facing so much, how they fulfil their lovey-dovey dreams. It’s about hope and depicts one thing distinctly... how powerful love is.

Describe yourself in a nutshell...

Taha: My mom is from South Karnataka, while my father is from Tamil Nadu. I have grown up in Dubai and have been in Mumbai for many years now. I have done a few films and five series. My next year is pretty bright. I wish to do an action film in the near future. I dedicate 24 hours to training myself in action.

Helly: I am from Ahmedabad and have been in Mumbai for the last few years. I hail from a simple middle-class family. They have no connections from this industry. I started my career when I was just 15 years old. I feel it was destined. I never planned and never thought that I was meant to belong to the world of glitz and glamour. But since it happened to me now, I realise this is my passion.

How did you get cast for the music video?

Taha: My relationship developed with Panorama Music, and then they asked me to do this song. Hopefully soon, we will do a film with them too. Director Rahat Kazmi is a pivotal part of this project.

How was it working with Rahat?

Helly: Rahat made me feel so very comfortable. Even if I was feeling cold, he would come to me he would ask me to rest for a while. We shot in Kashmir. We shot in Shalimar Gardens and in an old monument.

Taha: We also shot in the scenic locales of Srinagar. Rahat is from Kashmir. His communication is very classy, and he is very well-read. Working with him was a privilege.

Tell us about your recent Cannes visit.

Helly: I got to explore such a different world with cultural differences. There is so much to learn. I have experienced so much during my visit to the Cannes Film Festival. Anything done for the first time brings in a different experience. It was fun.
