Days after sharing an emotional video alleging she was 'harassed' inside her Mumbai home, actress Tanushree Dutta posted a new clip on her social media, highlighting the benefits of eating mutton and explaining how her diet is rooted in Ayurveda, where food is treated as medicine. However, she soon faced backlash after revealing that she consumed mutton after fasting for Shravan, one of the holiest months in the Hindu calendar, during which many abstain from non-vegetarian food to maintain its sanctity and discipline.

Sharing the video, Tanushree said that if someone is troubled and their mental health is affected, they should pay close attention to their diet, as food is medicine. She added that her diet is carefully planned and rooted in Ayurveda, and she treats food as medicine to stay at the top of her game.
Her caption read, "So I fasted today for Shravan till 7 pm and then cooked this high nutrition kaali dal with mutton and rice for dinner. Religious fasts don't need to be rigid, one can customise according to individual physical needs. This kind of fast works best for me. Fasting bhi ho jaati hai, fasting se mental strength bhi build hota hai, phir fast break mein high protein and nutritious diet bhi le leti hoon Taki body bhi top performing rahe."

Actress Reacts To Being Accused Of Killing Animals
Another user accused her of killing animals and then seeking refuge in faith. In response, the Dhol actress hit back, calling the troll 'mentally unstable.'
She wrote, "What the hell nonsense are you talking about? Ur insulting Devi I think. You Don make any logical sense. Tantrik mantrik?? Video ko dekho phir comment karo?? I think ur mentally unstable. This diet is followed heavily in Nepal, where Pashupatinath is worshipped in every household. Sanatan dharm pe toh mujhse tark vitark mein koi nahi jeet sakta. Ok, my knowledge and experience is not only comprehensive, inclusive of cultures from all over India but also is factual. Bas kuch bhi like dete hai log half baked knowledge ke saath."
